Weekly Lawn cutting (First week of May to first week in November)

• During every visit, a trip sheet will be left in the mailbox informing you what work was done, who was on the property, time in, time out, possible insect/disease problems with recommendations.
• Grass will be cut @ a height of 2.5 to 3 inches to promote a healthy root system.
• All grass clippings will be mulched, which provides a free source of fertilizer/organic matter.
• There will be an extra cost for bagging clippings if requested/required due to excessive growth in the Spring
• There will be an extra charge for cleaning excessive debris (leaves, twigs, fallen branches etc.) from lawn/patio/roadside etc.
• Occasionally during the heat of the summer, the grass may not have to be cut and will be skipped to promote a healthy root system.
• We try to recycle most organic matter back into the lawn and garden to promote a healthy soil.
• At all times we will promote organic methods of lawn/garden care
• Payment options include: pre-pay for season or up to 6 post dated cheques, dated the 1 of the Month.

Garden Bed/Shrub Maintenance

• Garden beds will be looked after as needed…usually bi-weekly
• Weed control will consist of hand pulling and spot spraying of horticultural vinegar
• Cultivation as needed to work in organic matter and to prevent compaction
• Edges of the beds will be maintained
• Dead heading of all perennials as needed
• Natural Insect and disease control as needed (ask for details…billed separately)
• We will incorporate additional organic matter from property into beds to promote a healthy soil
• At all times we will promote organic methods of lawn/garden care

Pruning and trimming of shrubs, hedges and small trees

• Done upon request only
• Specific instructions required as to how you like to have your shrubs pruned (shape, size, formal, informal, etc)

Spring Clean Ups (Billed @ $50.00 per man hour…disposal fees may apply)

• rake and blow all lawn areas and curbside (de-thatching if required)
• clean up of all leaves and debris (some leaves will be cultivated into the beds to add organic matter)
• cutting back all spent perennials
• pruning of all dead wood from trees,shrubs and roses etc.
• trimming of all shrubs and hedges to desired shape
• deep cultivation and weeding of all flower beds
• re-edging of all flower beds
• re- edging of all lawn edges along sidewalks, driveway’s etc

Additional Services (If Requested)

• Add compost to flower beds
• Hand weeding of lawn
• Removing clumps of weed grasses (most likely “Tall Fescue”)

Fall Clean Ups (Billed @ $50.00 per man hour…disposal fees may apply)

• clean up of all leaves and debris (some leaves will be cultivated into the beds to add organic matter)
• We like to blow the leaves into the flower beds to insulate the perennials overwinter
• cutting back spent perennials (ornamental grasses will be left )
• removal of all annual flowers (we like to cultivate some into the soil (adds organic matter)
